Indonesian Fishery Products Export to Singapore Decreased

Based on data from the Ministry of Marine and Fisheries released mid November, the exports of Indonesian fishery products to Singapore for the 2015-2019 period have decreased, in terms of volume decreased by 6.52% and in terms of value has decreased by 16.17%

But in general, Indonesia’s fishery exports performance remains positive. For January – September 2020 period, Indonesia’s fishery product exports reached US $ 3.76 billion, up 7.92% with total volume 916,260 tons.

Indonesian fishery export market consist of ASEAN around 20.35% from total export, with sales value US$ 438.67 million (11.67%). China comes next, with US$ 580.38 million (32.41%), then Europe, worth US$ 209.50 million (5.58%). fourth, United States, with value US$ 1,553 million (40.81%).

Singapore, with 5.8 million population, dependent on imported food products.

For fish products, Singapore’s highest imports are mackerel, scad and eel products, and for seafood are shrimp, lobster, crab, squid, cuttlefish and shellfish.
