Ministry of Trade Target Buyers in Central & Eastern Europe

Indonesian Minister of Trade, Muhammad Lutfi said Central and Eastern European regions have the potential to become strategic trading partners and currently some of the countries in the region had been listed as the top 30 main export destinations, according to the written statement released on Friday (10/08/21).

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade, for January to August 2021 period, Indonesia’s export to Central European region showed 23.6% (YoY) growth, reaching up US$ 2.52 billion. Meanwhile, the exports to Eastern Europe continued to increase by 58.07% (YoY).

Indonesia’s largest trading partners in the regions are Russia, Turkey and Poland, with export products from Indonesia including electronic products and the components, palm oil, fishery products, coffee, charcoal, copper ore, tin, wood, palm oil and it’s derivatives, footwear, furniture, and rubber.
