Trade Brief – PT Indonesia Trading Company (PPI) had  exports 100 tons of Robusta coffee to Egypt, with  future monthly shipment planned about 200 tons.

Robusta coffee, widely grown in Lampung and South Sumatra province, has unique taste influenced by it’s processing techniques and the peculiarities of the regional climate.

“Coffee exports are carried out in collaboration with local farmers with the aim of encouraging economic growth, exposing the potential of Indonesian commodities to meet global coffee demand,” PPI President Director, Nina Sulistyowati, said on Saturday (11/09).

PPI coffee export to Egypt had began in 2018, until early 2020 but stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
