The export volume of tuna from Bali increased by 26.8% or 5,210 tons in the first semester of 2021, which followed by 66% increase in export value with worth Rp.491.65 billion.
According the data from Fish Quarantine Agency, Quality Control and Safety of Fishery Products (BKIPM) Denpasar which release on Monday (08/23), the increase triggered by high demand and the smooth delivery of cargo to destination countries, but ship first via Jakarta, because the Covid-19 pandemic which began in early March 2020 had closed direct flight to many countries.
Although, this year Bali has not yet opened direct flight, but shipment via Jakarta are getting reliable to support export shipments from Bali.
Fresh tuna from Bali exported to five main destination such as United States, China, Australia, Japan, and Taiwan.
